A Portrait of a Husband

I made a promise to myself that I wrote in my blog that I would start back up today. And I am keeping to my promise. This is my husband at dinner tonight. We went to Costco after work to order my contacts (finally!) and in the parking lot, Lucille's. We weren't sure about dinner, so we stopped there. I decided to take this picture after we had eaten and were waiting for the bill. He was telling me a story about work when I snapped the picture.

Valentine's Day gift

Well, hubby is a horrible waiter and cannot stand to have me wait another second on big days like Christmas, my birthday, our anniversary or Valentine's Day. He said he has never been a "supporter" of V-day, but he sure loves to make sure I have a great day. He kept me up until midnight the 13th, making it be the 14th, just so he could give me these two envelopes. I had a choice. I was allowed to open them, but had to make a choice between the two. This is what was in them:

Two titles of shows I very much want to see.  Beauty and the Beast is playing here in LA.  Love Never Dies, on the other hand, is still only in London.  So guess what?  We're going to London!  I am so excited to go back and I can't wait to show hubby all the awesomeness that is London!

And yes, I know, I must catch up my pictures.  School really caught up with me this week. 

Space Mountain

Despite the fun I've had on all the roller coasters I have gone on, far and near, this is still my favorite one by far. Space Mountain is the best ride. Tonight we went to Disneyland for date night, having dinner, going on a few rides and and shopping. I love having a pass.

Colorworks

This is a bag of blue peanut M&Ms, brought to us by my sister in law. They went to Vegas this weekend, and hubby asked her to bring back some of these. It's amusing, really, because it is the second person to go to Vegas to bring us back M&Ms in two weeks because he asked them to.

Sunny morning

This was a shot of some trees while we drove to work today. Hubby and I carpool on Tuesdays, so as my husband drove, I took some pictures of the gorgeous morning. It was a cool 50 degrees, but so bright and sunny. Much better than the weather most of the country is getting right now (my school has closed campus today and tomorrow).

This was our lunch today, In N Out!  In n Out is the best.  It was also a beautiful day in Southern California;  I really wish I didn't have to go inside for work. 

Technology is awesome

I love technology. I am writing this blog on my laptop while my husband drives up to my parents. The hour and a half drive is no longer wasted as I can do my homework (which is what I did, I finished about 20 minutes ago).

Lunchtime at Panera

This was my drink at lunch today. I have become a huge fan of Panera Bread. The food is very tasty and much healthier than other lunches hubby and I could have. I have enjoyed the Fuji Apple Chicken salad very much.  We have lunch once a week, the day I close. Today was that day. I love when I can meet with him during the week.

Highlighters!

Today, I bought new highlighters. I love getting new office/school supplies. I have always been like this, and I am pretty certain that I will be like this forever. I just love walking into the aisle at the store, looking at all the new items. And then, when you buy them, you bring them home and everything is new. Hubby enjoys it as well, so we match pretty well. ;-)

Finally, nightstands!

This is one of our new nightstands. After getting new furniture in July, we did not have proper nightstands. The nightstand that came with the bedroom set I preferred to be in the living room (it just works better out there), so we have been using makeshift nightstands. We finally went to IKEA on Saturday and bought these. I like them; very simple and basic, but quite functional!

Family time

These are my husband's cousins. With hubby included, the aunts wanted a picture of al of them together. There were quite a few missing, but this is the majority of them. I think it's cool that they're all so close in age. All of my cousins are older than me, so we never shared as much as hubby's family.

Round and round and round we went!

I have two posts today, because last night, we went rollerskating at a local roller rink! We were there until midnight, so I was unable to post. I had sooo much fun! I loved rollerskating when I was young, and I had forgotten how fun it was. I have been asking to go for a while, but we never ended up going. So we went to our friend's house and had dinner, then went skating. What a workout, but oh so fun!  This is a picture of my leg and hubby's leg.

Start of Second Semester

My second semester at Wayne State University started today. This is one of the books for one of the courses I am taking, Cataloguing and Indexing. It looks like it will be a busy semester. I am lucky to have a husband who still works at our undergrad University because he is still able to check out books from the library. Although the book pictured was purchased, three of my books this semester are being borrowed.

Dinnertime at our house

This was our dinner tonight. Mexican night (though that happens more often than not...)! Hubby made everything from scratch; chicken enchiladas, beans, rice, and guacamole. Soooo yummy! I am so spoiled; hubby loves to cook and cooks very well!
