San Diego

Today, we (hubby, my dad, and I) went down to San Diego for the day.  My mom is helping her brother move, so my dad was alone for the weekend and so we decided to go meet up with my brother who lives in San Diego and go to a couple of the places that have been featured on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives."  My dad picked us up at 9:30 this morning and we headed down.  Our first stop was Hob Nob Hill.  We had brunch and it was very good (had a Green Chile and Cheddar Cheese omelet).  After brunch, we headed to Coronado Island to visit the Hotel Del.  We hung out at the beach for a while, then went to Old Town San Diego.  It was fun, watching people, looking through the shops and looking at the historical sites.  This is where today's picture was taken.  I was sitting with my dad waiting for my husband and brother who were getting us churros.  After spending time there, our dinner destination was El Indio.  It was a Mexican place and it was delicious.  Their chips were awesome and the tacos were great!  All in all it was a great day, spent time with my family, spent time at the beach and got sun!

A Portrait of a Husband

I made a promise to myself that I wrote in my blog that I would start back up today. And I am keeping to my promise. This is my husband at dinner tonight. We went to Costco after work to order my contacts (finally!) and in the parking lot, Lucille's. We weren't sure about dinner, so we stopped there. I decided to take this picture after we had eaten and were waiting for the bill. He was telling me a story about work when I snapped the picture.

Space Mountain

Despite the fun I've had on all the roller coasters I have gone on, far and near, this is still my favorite one by far. Space Mountain is the best ride. Tonight we went to Disneyland for date night, having dinner, going on a few rides and and shopping. I love having a pass.

Thank God for the beauty we see

This was the sunset last night. It was absolutely breathtaking. We went to dinner and as we stepped out of the car, I had to take this picture. It would've been better if the person didn't scare me right as I pushed the button.

Now, I know I need to catch up with my pictures, this week was a busy week for school, so I will try to be posting throughout the day today.

Round and round and round we went!

I have two posts today, because last night, we went rollerskating at a local roller rink! We were there until midnight, so I was unable to post. I had sooo much fun! I loved rollerskating when I was young, and I had forgotten how fun it was. I have been asking to go for a while, but we never ended up going. So we went to our friend's house and had dinner, then went skating. What a workout, but oh so fun!  This is a picture of my leg and hubby's leg.

Dinnertime at our house

This was our dinner tonight. Mexican night (though that happens more often than not...)! Hubby made everything from scratch; chicken enchiladas, beans, rice, and guacamole. Soooo yummy! I am so spoiled; hubby loves to cook and cooks very well!

Small World Holiday

Tonight was another date night, this time at Disneyland! Hubby and I are season passholders and love to go on Friday nights for dinner, some rides and people watching. Tonight, we figured Small World would be closed for the take down of the holiday version. It was not, and we rode it. First time of us riding it together in the four and a half years we've been together. I prefer the holiday version over the regular version, even if I appreciate the value of the original. But, the Christmas version is so sparkly and pretty!  And, I forgot my regular camera so this is from my phone.

Trying a New Restaurant

Tonight, Hubby and I tried a new restaurant. And I'm very glad we did. We tried Buffalo Wild Wings. It was very good. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap with the Mango Habenero sauce (so simple, I loved it!) and hubby had two different sauces with the wings, Jamaican Jerk and the Mango Habenero. This picture was the end result of his efforts; he ate about half of each (he got 12). Our server, Chuck, was incredibly helpful and funny.
